RE: My new Desktop

Cool. I think 4GB is enough for what I want it for. I am guessing that you have 8GB?

RE: My new Desktop

Nope, 5GB. 1GB stick and the other is a 4GB stick.

Comes in handy for VMware. :)

Oh, yeah. I did not think of that. I also want to upgrade from the 78 GB hard drive I have to a 250 SSD hard drive.

RE: My new Desktop

This computer makes loud startup noises, but i usually have a fan running in my room so i do not ever notice it.

It's not like it is loud all the time, but at times it can be.

RE: My new Desktop

For your need that's a good computer. You need to upgrade the display. 1280y1024 is pain resolution.

Yeah, it is but having two of that sane resolution is good better than having one. In the future I hope to get bigger and better monitors.

RE: My new Desktop

I like the Graphics Card, however I would upgrade the ram to 6 or 8 GB.

It would come in handy, you never know.

As for SSD, are you considering installing the OS in the SSD?

Yeah I was considering getting a SSD, and yes I was going to put my OS on it. I have one spare RAM slot in my machine and was going to upgrade it.
