Troubleshoot Message from Comodo Firewall to change Chrome's settings?

i get message's from comodo FW, asking me if i want to change chrome settings. it gave me an advertisement for mcafee.

Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful

i ran hitman pro, emsisoft emergency kit, f-secure, windows defender and webroot.

I get messages from comodo FW, asking me if i want to change chrome settings. it gave me an advertisement for mcafee.
i ran hitman pro, emsisoft emergency kit, f-secure, windows defender and webroot. it seems to happen every time that i turn on chrome.
is this chrome advertising on it's own? if not, how do i get rid of it?

Do you have any mcaffee product installed on your computer? Comodo is probably notifying you that mcaffee wants to install its Chrome extension.

Its a big due to a Chrome update where Google have changed a certificate. There is a new version of comodo released soon (has been released for testing on the forums) that fixes this.

If you have Mcaffee, create exclusion in the Comodo Firewall.
Although it is rare because Comodo recognizes Mcaffee as good

@Brie -Your post indicates you are getting 2 different messages, one for Chrome Settings and one for McAfee. Did you have McAfee WebAdvisor installed previously? I believe @mike6688 has addressed your Chrome issue. The McAfee question remains.

I believe WebAdvisor relies on Yahoo search, and may also include Google search option. Not sure about the latter.

I believe it leaves remnants even if uninstalled, since it is a stand-alone app. :devil:
