Serious Discussion Microsoft Edge Stable (Chromium) Now Available for Download

I didn't understand too much of the article. Does that mean more performance with less memory usage of Edge in future?
Most of the details are over my head, so I may or may not be understanding this in a very general way. It appears they are trying to replace certain frameworks, e.g. like JavaScript. with other, more performance friendly, web components. Some of the motivation is to streamline and stabilize the development process. For instance,
Within Edge itself, there are between 50 and 100 web UIs, said Ritz, adding that “each of those are like their own little web application.”
Understand that there is debate in the software community about the use of web components vs. frameworks. I probably don't understand the more technical details.

130.0.2849.68 is probably pulled, multiple users reported to be unable to update.
