Edge 81 now allows you to change its new tab page search box to use the address bar (and thus your default search engine) instead of Bing: One other change: Edge no longer allows you to preserve specific cookies if your browser is set to clear cookies on exit through site permissions. Previously there were two methods that allowed you to clear cookies on exit:

Under "Privacy and services > Choose what to clear every time you close the browser"
Under "Site permissions > Cookies and site data"
If you chose to clear cookies through site permissions then any sites added under "Allow" would have its cookies preserved after exiting, allowing you to stay logged into sites while clearing all other cookies. This method no longer exists and clearing cookies through the privacy & services method deletes all cookies with no way to preserve specific ones. Obviously having two methods to clear cookies on exit is redundant and axing one of them makes sense, but they chose to axe the only flexible method and by doing so introduces such a monumental inconvenience that I'm no longer willing to use this browser.
