It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

Edge is a newer browser, let's compare their age difference. It took Google 2 years to launch a dedicated Extension store for Chrome, 2 years.

Edge has awesome potential, but it cannot be compared in almost any way with Chrome(for now). SmartScreen is good at pinpointing unknown files but fails epic with the Phishing threats. Enforced OS protection against injections in the browser is a good feature, but there should be an API for the extensions to communicate with desktop and windows apps. For example the binary component of LastPass is unusable with the Edge extension. And the sites still too frequently stop responding while loading and need to be recovered after all of the feedback on this issue. There are serious issues with some major sites like YouTube. This browser needs to mature a little bit.
