Microsoft has stopped the spread of Windows Update 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809)

I mean, I haven't used my PC since I upgraded, all I know is that it did it while OSA, SysHardener & Avast & MBAM were active so hopefully they didn't ruin anything, but I haven't even been into my downloads or documents or anything to check so I probably should later on, silly me

Why I always have problems with updates! Windows downloaded the 1809 update 3 days ago and tried to install and it always failed. I experienced the same like 6 months ago when i updated to 1803. This is my last Windows PC,moving to Mac next year!
Which windows editions? maybe some editions dont support

I had the exact same problem, it was so annoying that I switched to admin account. I reported it on the feedback hub.

For those would successfully installed the update without issue AND need to limit the amount of data on the C drive, please note that this update saved the previous configuration(s) as Windows(old) which still may exist or have ballooned if an initial update failed.
Run Disk Cleanup (clean up System Files) to see if any residual crap exists. But obviously DON NOT do this if you want to revert!

Main problem I experienced is with third-party software, after some minutes I opted for a clean install.
Actually both Sandboxie and ERP requires to be updated, Sandboxie already offer a BETA working version on 1809.
For HitmanPro.Alert I found that upgrading from old stable to beta 761 from a PC running LTSB upgraded to LTSC caused the system not boot anymore.
Some problems with notifications, etc, but I kept for a little.
I don't see Windows Defender slowing me down for now, but there is still time to disable it, when a new working version of ERP on 1809 will be out.

I'm not surprised it's been plugged, Even DJs have been having problems with drivers.

Well found a bug, I turned off the windows firewall (Had WFC set to Med filtering) and I couldn't turn it back on using the default interface that Microsoft provided.
Click on "Turn on" and nothing happens.

Not an insider so it tells me i don't have access to that feedback. I assume it must be because 1809 was pulled so it's now an insider build.

Oh because thats original its laptop right it's good that you are running on the 1803 because the 1809 removed from windows update due to major issues we are waiting they are working on it i guess so...
probably because i was an insider before so my account is still considered as such...who knows...
