I believe it came with a piece of software I downloaded and my carelessness to read what I was installing. I do know to watch out for these things but was probably in a hurry. I don't remember which software or even the real exact date. I just know that one day I was having issues with chrome and I did some digging. I thought I had gotten rid of it a few times but then it came back. I keep trying but with little success.
Please download ZOEK by Smeenk and save it to your desktop (preferred version is the *.exe one)
Temporary disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware protection - instructions here.
Right-click on
icon and select
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
Wait patiently until the main console will appear, it may take a minute or two.

ok after i did all that... mini ad blocker deciced to give chrome a hissy fit with ads and tabs. I quickly disabled it but did not delete it as that doesn't get rid of it very long. Here are the results of the second scan
