The GrapheneOS project has confirmed that Motorola's Signature 27 will be the first smartphone outside Google's Pixel lineup to support its privacy-focused Android based operating system. The confirmation came in a post from the official GrapheneOS account on X. Until now, GrapheneOS has been limited to Pixel phones.

In a follow-up post, the GrapheneOS team said devices with the operating system preinstalled are being planned, but it did not share further details. Support for future Motorola phones had been announced a few weeks earlier without naming a model, and the Signature 27 answers which device comes first.
