Hi Brahman — yes, this is a wider Kaspersky service incident, not just your PC or apparently India. Kaspersky has posted an official service announcement stating that technical issues are making some product features and My Kaspersky temporarily unavailable.

Despite the portal displaying “scheduled maintenance,” Kaspersky’s announcement describes technical issues and gives no restoration time. It also states that:

• Core protection continues to operate normally.
• Antivirus databases continue updating.
• User data has not been affected.
• My Kaspersky-dependent features may remain unavailable while service is restored.

That fits Smart Home Monitor being stuck on “Connecting to My Kaspersky.” The greyed-out Pause protection and Settings controls are not specifically listed in the notice, but are likely part of the same temporary product/backend problem. A greyed-out Pause option does not mean protection is paused.

For now, I would not reinstall the application, remove the device, or change the subscription. Check that the main window still shows protection as active and that database updates are succeeding, then leave it running. Once the portal is consistently accessible again, restart Windows once. If those local controls remain disabled after the service has recovered, contact Kaspersky Support with the screenshots and the complete 21.27 build number.
