Advice Request Native Windows security

Hi all!

I have some questions regarding Windows native protection ( win firewall / ms Defender ) I am so fed up with 3rd party AV / firewall , slowing down Windows and other incompatebileties , that I want to use Defender / win firewall , is there anything Else that I need to beware of , in regards tightening security ( configure Defender / hardconfigurator Will be installed as well ) in edge browser like ransomware / exploit protection and best settings to improve privacy / security in edge and Defender. What extensions to use? I really want to get rid of bulk and have a slim and mean security setup!

You can consider running Microsoft Defender in a sandbox. This option is still being tested, and can cause problems tho.

You can also consider using Microsoft Defender Application Guard for an isolated browser environment.

Keep Edge as clean as possible and use e.g. NextDNS instead of browser extension

assuming you are using Windows 10, is it the Home version or Pro?
