@neon

If you show me screenshots of AppGuard Activity Report, then I can probably help you figure out why there is a system slow down.

AppGuard should not interfere with system boot, reboot, application start-up, etc - in any way.

You said you want light.

If that is the case, then there are several options:

AppGuard + Adguard
AppGaurd + Adguard + Webroot
AppGuard + Adguard + Sandboxie
AppGuard + Adguard + HitmanPro.Alert
AppGuard + Adguard + NoVirusThanks Exe Radar Pro

If you are really paranoid then you can do the whole spiel:

AppGuard + Adguard + Webroot + Sandboxie + HitmanPro.Alert (+ NoVirusThanks Exe Radar Pro)

You'd be surprised at how light that config actually is. Of course, it also depends upon your specific system.

In my experience, any of them is more than sufficient. However, AppGuard + Adguard + Webroot is a great well-rounded combo.

Very straightforward and simple without any unnecessary components.

You may also considered as mentioned the EXE policy based so that you can have a strong hardened protection already.

What do you think about Spyshelter Firewall ?

SpyShelter Firewall is a good product. It is very light. If you know how to use SpyShelter Firewall, then it is very capable of protecting system.

Datpol informs me that they plan a lot of work on SpS over the coming year...
