Windows 10 had a Never combine taskbar buttons option that let you move to the old style of taskbar icons.
However, with Windows 11, the taskbar customization options are thin. You no longer get a Never combine taskbar buttons feature in Windows 11. There is no native way to enforce it either, so you’ll have to use a third-party app to ungroup icons in Windows 11.

I personally did not use the Never combine taskbar buttons in Windows 10 and kept all such settings to the default.
Did you use the Never combine taskbar buttons in Windows 10 and why did you use it?

Now in Windows 11, do you use third-party application to enable Never combine taskbar buttons?
Thanks.

This is arguably the biggest complaint against Win11. Yes, I use that feature, and yes, I use a 3rd party application to enable it. I want button labels and that requires not combining the buttons.

I agree. Microsoft thought getting rid of that feature is good for productivity, but they were wrong. Many people indeed use it for productivity.
