Welcome to the August 2023 update. This month, we are incredibly excited to announce the public preview of Python in Excel, which is gradually rolling out to users running Beta Channel on Windows – Excel for Windows version 2309 (Build 16818.20000) or later. Watch this YouTube video by Excel MVP Leila Gharani and this YouTube playlist by Excel MVP Carlos Barboza, and sign up to be notified about future availability for Python in Excel.

Also rolling out to Beta Channel users on Windows are Stale Value Formatting and Monospaced Font in the formula bar. Furthermore, Current Channel users on Windows will now have Simplified Sharing Across M365, Improved Save As/Discard Dialog, and Power BI Connected Tables.

Welcome to the September 2023 update. This month, we are thrilled to share that Python in Excel is now available to all Enterprise, Business, Education, and Family and Personal users running Beta Channel on Windows, starting with build 16.0.16818.20000 – and then to the other platforms at a later date. Also, we are excited to introduce the Python Editor from Excel Labs and Copilot support for Python in Excel.

Welcome to our October 2023 update! This month we are excited to share several new features rolling out across Excel for the web, Windows, and Mac. The Automate Work button, Formula Authoring Enhancements, and Queries and Connection Pane are now available in Excel for the web. Web Connector Enhancements and Optimized Narrator Screen Announcements have started rolling out to users of Excel for Windows; and Checkboxes in Cells and the ability to control your Data Conversions, to Insider users [on Excel for Windows].
