Bypass Age Verification BETA

Automatically bypass age verification checks used by certain websites, such as adult content sites, to verify a visitor’s age before allowing access.
By enabling this feature, you acknowledge that you are legally old enough to access the content.

Will this give access to videos on youtube that are blocked by age, as i dont want to sign in to youtube and use it with the account?
Depends how YouTube implements age verification and where.

My guess: the feature will work like Smart DNS Proxy. It will route traffic of websites requiring age verification through servers in country where age verification isn't enforced.

"DNS level geo spoofing: When you try to visit a site that requires ID in your country, the resolver intercepts the DNS request and instead of giving you the real IP, it points you to one of their proxy servers located in a country without the ID requirement. From your browser’s perspective, it’s still connecting to the site, but from the site’s perspective, the traffic is coming from that other country. This is similar to what ControlD does with their “teleport locations” feature."

NextDNS is still alive? I have a sub but I wonder why don't they just make the entire platform free open source and let it rip with volunteers supported by donations? They sort of do now but...

And your going to see massive amounts of new and old VPNs and other proxy services include age restriction bypass features very soon. It's going to be the main selling point by the end of next year.

I completely agree, when I started using Control D around 2 years ago, it was somewhat lacking.

It didn’t have the same analytics, the logs weren’t amazing, didn’t have the AI threat prevention capabilities and many others.

Now, NextDNS is very much behind ControlD.

The fundamental purpose of NextDNS—filtering DNS queries to block ads, trackers, and malicious sites—is fully operational and reliable. The service continues to process billions of queries a month. The NextDNS CLI client was updated in May 2025, and there have been recent updates to the online UI. The community help center also shows recent activity with users reporting bugs and receiving replies from staff, indicating that someone is still monitoring and managing the service.
