Troubleshoot Nokia Lumia - Update !

I have NOKIA LUMIA 920 and it does not work with facebook messenger because it says facebook app needs to have the latest update, and I have installed the latest version from STORE, but it does not work just show CONNECTING.
I have tried to update but did not see the update

Do you know any method to update/upgrade the phone ?

Model : Nokia Lumia 920
Software : Windows Phone 8.1

I'm afraid you have to buy a new phone, because windows 10 mobile the latest of Microsoft is not supported on a 920.
Microsoft breaks its Windows 10 Mobile upgrade promise
The insider builds didn't ran well on it, that's why Microsoft dropped support.
