Your connections are encrypted with Https anyway - I use a VPN most of the time but the only thing its really good for is preventing your ISP from following you around - I've read my ISP's privacy policy which is why I use a VPN - I'm not sure VPN's are much good a stopping the dark side people, and keeping data safe.

@Brownie2019 and @Sorrento, good points! A VPN like ExpressVPN (which I'm using) does more than HTTPS by hiding your IP and encrypting all traffic, so it keeps browsing private from ISPs and prying eyes on public Wi-Fi. It definitely adds peace of mind for everyday privacy!
