New Update Norton Security 25.9.10453

I have a Norton subscription till 2029 but use avg which is the same thing except the VPN is just integrated into Norton better.

Advertising won't show up until you do a smart scan which i noticed in your screenshot you have not. Can you run a smart scan and see if the message shows up on the GUI?
On the initial install, I thought it ran a Smart Scan as I remember when one was done I clicked next to start the next one. I checked the Security history but didn't see it. I just ran it again, no messages after the scan, below 1st image (I also have notifications disabled in the settings). The one I did get the upgrade notices for when I ran the Smart scan was AVG free.

Even though you can't choose a server it connects to there are enough settings to be helpful. So far it's been performing well.

Now the the thing that I find annoying, is there is no Safe Web Extension for Chrome, at least that I'm aware of. They have Safe Search Enhanced, but if you enable it, hyjacks your home page to theirs (2nd image). What I did was installed TrafficLight, but I find having to do that be ridiculous for a Suite (360). Since Chrome is the highets market share, I'm sure it's Norton's way to try to glean browsing data from us. This could actually be a deal breaker for me, as Brave and Chrome are my favorite browsers, and McAfee didn't have a problem supporting Chromium browsers in any way.

Safeweb for Chrome is obsolete, its all handled from within Norton itself now. No need for extensions anymore.
Only Edge has the Safeweb extension but i would not install it if i were you.

Same here. I have a Premium license good until this December, but I'm not even going to use it. ESET is in my rear view mirror as well.
I keep getting messages to buy Antitrack and Utilities in Norton. I really hate Ads.
Eventhough i disabled the promotions option.

So i switched to Eset Smart Security Premium.

I haven't gotten that yet, maybe they're laying in the weeds, giving me a couple of days of peace and quite. But I'm pretty sure my time with 360 will be short lived. Again for me, to many options, modules, settings etc. to possibly glitch out? Is Genie only for smart phones, as I can't get that activated. Even though in the web portal it says I have Dark Web Monitoring activated, the app UI says it isn't, and to activate it? Even though I set Chrome as my default (for testing's sake) Norton will not install these two extensions, the browser opens and closes in a second. And I get why it can't install Safe Search, as that is no longer supported, but only the Enhanced version but the app shows Safe Search as an option?

Even though McAfee had less settings, it was more functional and stable. In that regard, IMO, McAfee is the better of the 3 recent reviews, questions asked, TM, McAfee and now Norton.

Edit: I just saw your above post #44, thanks :)

Same for me, i just need a program that works and does not bomb with ads, eventhough i am a paid subscriber.
McAfee is great but with me, the opening of the program takes ages. My OCD can not handle this haha

So i went back to Eset. It simply works. And with the LiveGuard addition its complete for me.

McAfee seems to do it all for me, ESET is on my wife's lappy, not sure when her licence expires but McAfee is on it afterward if not sooner, like may this next few days as she is in hospital so might sort it while she is away in-between keeping the home fires burning etc etc :(:(:(
I hope everything will be alright with her 🙏
