He talks about an issue when the user deliberately slows down the VPN speed by selecting the wrong VPN server.

He explains it as for example he is in Europe, and then connects to a VPN server in Asia and then browses a website in US. He says that is the wrong choice of selecting a VPN server.

When I surf I'll know and then I just change server. Sometimes the speed slows depending on the time of the day and the internet traffic even though you are using the same 'fast' server all the while.

i personally use proton vpn for browsing and a bit of "privacy".... ive got a rule in spyshelter networks to allow outbound & block all inbound to 10.2.0.0/24 but allow outbound.....
fine for browsing.. (not so good for p2p) but i dont want the inbound
