Back in January at this year's CES, Nvidia introduced its RTX 30 series mobile GPU lineup consisting of the RTX 3080, RTX 3070, and RTX 3060 laptop graphics chips. Later, the company also launched smaller mobile Ampere-based parts with the RTX 3050 Ti and the RTX 3050.

However, a new report suggests that Nvidia's RTX 30 series mobile GPU lineup is still unfinished and the company is allegedly developing new chips under the "SUPER" moniker that it had used with its last-gen 2000 series products.

According to the report, Nvidia reportedly has two chips in the works dubbed the "GA103S" and the "GA107S", both of them are targeted for launch early next year. The GA103S will purportedly pack 60 Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs) across a 320-bit memory bus while there is no information on the smaller GA107S chip.

Here's how the new chips could stack up against the current mobile RTX lineup:

I can't even afford a RTX 30 series GPU let alone a laptop with RTX 30 series GPU 😄
On Amazon India, it cost almost the same if not cheaper to buy a Laptop with a RTX 3060 GPU in it than buying an actual RTX 3060 Desktop GPU.
Although the Laptop version has far less performance than the desktop version. 😅

GPU prices are still pretty outrageous, I don't see this changing anytime soon.

Last Sunday we reported that Nvidia is developing new mobile GPUs under the “SUPER” moniker that will offer increased performance and debut early next year. However, according to noted leaker kopite7kimi who replied on VideoCardz’s report, Nvidia’s upgraded lineup will also come to desktops in the form of the GeForce RTX 3080 SUPER and the GeForce RTX 3070 SUPER.

The new GPUs will be manufactured by Samsung on the same 8nm node as the current lineup and will be based on a new GA103 chip that will come with design improvements and feature more CUDA cores. The GeForce RTX 3070 SUPER will have 8GB of VRAM, while the GeForce RTX 3080 SUPER will come with 16GB. We do not yet know if GDDR6 or GDDR6X memory will be used, or whether the Ti variants will also receive the SUPER treatment.
