This build introduces our refreshed split-screen feature, now available for early testing. It’s still under development, so you may encounter a few bugs – but we’d love to hear what you think and what you discover as you try it out.
The first update of Opera Developer 126 brings a focused set of fixes and upgrades:
Core updates: Chromium updated to 141.0.7390.125.
Stability fixes: Numerous crashes resolved, including issues in window handling, extensions tabs queries, Linux ARM startup, macOS tab dragging, popup windows, Opera Account popup, and TabStrip cleanup.
Split Screen improvements: Fixed crashes when adding/removing pages, corrected swapped address bars, proper single-page reload, ability to remove/close pages, better hover area for resize/swap, and menu commands added.
Opera 126 is now available in the beta channel, giving you early access to the next version of the Opera browser.
This release is built on Chromium 142.0.7444.243, bringing the latest security updates, performance improvements, and under-the-hood fixes from the Chromium project.

This release introduces a major rewrite of opera://settings, alongside many stability fixes, UI improvements, and feature updates across the browser. Because of the scale of the Settings changes, some issues may still be present.

Here are the highlights from this release:
Chromium update: Chromium has been updated to version 143.0.7499.41
Crash fixes: Multiple crashes were resolved, including issues related to wallpapers, split screen, VPN components, extensions, and Windows-specific window handling.
Split screen improvements: Enhanced Split Screen received numerous fixes for: layout issues, crashes in private windows, CPU usage problems, and better behavior when duplicating or detaching tabs.
VPN and settings enhancements: A new top-level VPN page was added, and several settings pages were fixed to prevent blank or empty views.
UI: Improved search result highlighting, better tab island behavior, restored missing buttons on hover, and cleaned-up dialog text on Windows.
Feature updates:Sharing Point has been enabled in Developer builds.
Known issues:
Crash when importing open tabs from other browsers: Importing open tabs during browser setup may cause a crash. A fix is in progress, and users are advised to import bookmarks and data without open tabs as a temporary workaround.
