New Update Opera Beta & Developer Updates Thread

Hello!

Opera developer has been updated to version 134.0.5945.0.

This update introduces Paste Protect, a dedicated defense against malicious takeover of your clipboard, which includes code injection attacks such as ClickFix. This is the first release to include it, and it’s enabled by default so give it a try and let us know what you think.

  • Restored the address bar context menu on Windows when vertical tabs are enabled

  • Fixed collapse and search buttons so they activate on mouse press instead of mouse release

Notes:

  • Since Chrome 151 dropped support for macOS 12, we updated the version constraint to block AU on unsupported systems.
  • This release doesn’t include Linux builds, but we’ll update it as soon as possible.

We’ve rolled out a new Opera Developer release with a few notable changes:

  • Polished Vertical Tabs: fixed the collapse icon jumping, the panel turning black/white after opening DevTools, and tab island positioning when switching layouts. Also added drag and drop to create tab islands, with animations and a “new tab in tab island” button.
  • Fixed the “Make Opera Yours” widget appearing for existing users and after onboarding was completed
  • Fixed crashes on Windows in animated UI transitions and improved general responsiveness

We also enabled #opera-one-rebranding, which brings a fresh new color scheme to the browser. Check it out!
