New Update Osprey Browser Protection discussion and updates

I still have version 1.2.2. All the engines are in place. So the question is: it is possible to save for download old versions that have not been changed, isn't it? Maybe it makes sense to post them somewhere separately for those who want to download the old versions?
The GitHub Actions tab has a list of every version ever built. ;)

Osprey doesn't have any database it sends urls to apis (always up to date) although I will recommend adding commits back for the missing providers rather then using an older version
Would API still work after denying to participate by its provider?

Changes in 1.2.5

  • Corrected internal order of protection providers
  • Removed onCreatedNavigationTarget event
This update has been submitted to all extension stores.

Changes in 1.2.4

  • Removed Emsisoft Web Protection from protection options
  • Removed Emsisoft utility and hashing classes
  • Fixed issue with DNS0.eu Security DNS's origin number
This update has been submitted to all extension stores.

As it is Osprey offers more than enough protection. Removal of Symantec and Emsisoft won't affect it that much. The other providers are more than enough to keep protection level basically the same.
In case they did not refuse to be included, too.

Does anyone know of other forums or a better way to reach more people? I'm confident in Osprey as a product. I'd love to get it in more hands. It would be massively appreciated if anyone could lead the charge on that or point me in the right direction. :)
Wilders Security Forums -> they have many professional security researcher out there (but there against cloud security programs).

I would make sure all the vendor's used, the rest of them were still okay with what you're doing. Maybe get things resolved more here if not totally here first, as we're with you on this one, and don't mind you working it out with us. We're a kind and gentle community... 😅😅☺️

You should try to get in contact with computer/tech/review sites such as PCMag and PCWorld, etc. might be worth a shot, sometimes they reviews these type of programs.

Ghacks, founded by Martin Brinkmann, is another example of a site that might be interested to review Osprey.

I was able to add Osprey to alternativeto.net a while ago, you can edit some stuff I missed on there if you'd like.

You can install older versions , fork and add commits back if you want and I will probably fork osprey for myself too as im planing to use osprey and checkpoint without any extra security add-ons ( Symantec is important for me to have in osprey )
Hello @Vitali Ortzi, it was actually @badboy who said that, not me, so I am not sure why that quote is showing that it was me who said that, perhaps a glitch or something? 😁
