RE: pablozi's config - updated: 20.10.2012

Small change: SSFW removed due to a little bit overlapping with AppGuard.

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 21.10.2012

AppGuard + Sandboxie + EMET 3.5 runnig at the moment.
I like the "no AV" feeling :D

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 13.11.2012

Indeed. It is much lighter than previous version with better interface.
I really like it's KIOSK feature.

Lighter? in term of responsiveness?

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 13.11.2012

In term of RAM and CPU usage.

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 13.11.2012

I have to disagree, in RAM v6 is heavier than v5, you have 2-3 more processes for a maximum total of 5 processes and one of them is around 30mb for itself; v5 uses around 20-25mb for 2 processes. for cpu it is similar.

On a system running for about 3 hours:

open Kiosk or any sandboxed appswith Full virtualization, you will have 2 additional big processes.

But what for? To prove what?
In normal everyday use it is light on resources - this is the fact.
If you don't like it then don't use it - simple as that.

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 26.12.2012

To show to other members the real usage of CIS, i know it is still light on daily usage ( it is not to me you have to say that), i just prefer you don't say erroneous things when you just discovered the product...for example, you love Kiosk but didn't show its resource usage in your screenshot.

btw, as you see , i don't like it for the moment so i don't use it...

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 10.01.2013

Going back to Emsi apps :D

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 10.01.2013

So far I have been secured by MSE, SSFW, SBIE, CIS, KIS, NIS, MBAM Pro, AppGuard, DWPF, Agnitum, Avira, AVG, Webroot, Avast, Vipre, ESET, Panda, Bitdefender, Malware Defender, Returnil, Shadow Defender etc... and it seems, that Emsi is really the best choice for me.
I really like all of mentioned above apps (especially Comodo, AppGuard and Webroot) but EISP got "that thing" that makes it a perfect solution for me so I am going to renew my subscription soon ;)

I was a fervent Comodo users until i tried EIS. Now to get me rid of EIS, the suite must be very awesomely great ^^

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 26.01.2013

And now I am back to the point where it all stared - Kaspersky IS :)
Unfortunately on my laptop KIS is much lighter than Emsisoft combo which caused a huge delay while starting any app (or even Windows Task Manager) :(
I totally love Emsi but I cannot stand it's heaviness and it looks like KIS 2013 is much more optimized than previous version and it works flawlessly on my laptop.
To be honest I would like to see a suite that combines Webroot's lightness with ESET interface and KIS, SBIE and EISP efectiveness - that would be perfect suite. But for now I still need to search and try ;)

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 01.03.2013

Time for some changes.
Removed:
- Kaspersky IS 2013
- Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Added:
- NoVirusThanks EXE Radar Pro (Lockdown mode)
- SpyShelter Firewall

I really like how smooth my system runs without ant real time AV on board.
Looks like I have finally reached my goal: comprehensive security with minimal impact on resources.

RE: pablozi's config - updated: 28.04.2013

Changed:
- Skydrive replaced with Copy
- Bitdefender TL replaced with Malware Domains ABP blocklist

Removed:
- WTW IM
