Advice Request Patch my PC or Similar

Was looking at a good update tool. came across Patch My PC

What are peoples opinions of it?

I use it and have found it to be very good.

No ads at all but it just updates software that has a free version. If it's commercial only, it is not included in its databases. So for Microsoft, for instance it will update the OneDrive client but not Office.

You can try SUMo. It has the biggest database of all the update software's available and the fastest update notifier including beta updates. It works with portable version of software's too.
Make sure you download the lite installer or the portable version of SUMo.

Patch my PC works fine. Although sometimes it messes up "Google Backup & Sync" settings.

I don't like it. I use an alternate partition (not "C:\") for non-OS software, but several of the installed updates from
Patch my PC ended up on "C"... completely ignoring the existing installation path. I'd rather manage that myself. SUMo gets my updates.
