They could improve auto-updating, I am not allowing a random exe from Temp to connect to the internet, so I have to actually patch patchmypc myself.

What do you mean by Temp?

Probably was meant:

C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Temp

That's one of the most used places in Windows where malware trying to execute...

You can open this temp directory by pressing Win Key + R and then typing %temp%.
It's good to clear it from time to time and no executables should remain. If they do, they would be very suspicious.
