My problem is very similar to this problem: http://malwaretips.com/threads/srv123-pop-ups-on-steam.27833/

I have popups whenever i click, that redirect me to sites with ads, or false stuff. Just like this other poster said. I hace run out of options and i come here to seek help. I thank a lot in advance. The popups have partially stopped in chrome and explorer, but just today. They are VERY VERY annoying.

I restablished chrome, uninstalled, ccleaner and then reinstalled.

Have scanned with
-Malwarebytes antimalwate
-AdwCleaner
-EsetScanner Online
-Otlx
-Combofix
-Superantispyware

I thank you a lot in advance

FRST.gif
Fix with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

icon_exclaim.gif
This fix was created for this user for use on that particular machine.

icon_exclaim.gif
Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.
icon_exclaim.gif
Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

- Right click the Steam icon in your taskbar
- Select Settings
- Go to the In-Game tab in the popup
- Uncheck "Enable Steam Community in-game"

No.

Just for the record, Steam doesn't put ads in games. It has an overlay that lets you send messages to people and sends you optional updates. The whole thing can be disabled, but they are not advertisements.
