Good point, you would use your quota faster...They will provide the same monthly quota of 140 GB with a higher speed for a higher price.
I do not need a higher speed, I need a larger quota with a lower price.

Higher speed is required for online gamers or heavy downloaders; I only browse, and occasionally download an mp4.Good point, you would use your quota faster...
why unless FTTH is unreasonably expensive.FTTH is available for my residential area but I want to keep on ASDL.
"interesting" -- I never notice anything about data caps in my location other than unlimited. The big "restriction" is asymmetrical 40 Mbps upload speed. They will provide the same monthly quota of 140 GB with a higher speed for a higher price.

we usually have 2 SmartTV streaming much of the day...Higher speed is required for online gamers or heavy downloaders; I only browse, and occasionally download an mp4.
Even the ASDL is expensive in comparison to the average income; FTTH expenses not just the higher subscription, but also a one time, big installment for infrastrcuture fees and the cost of the ONT unit.why unless FTTH is unreasonably expensive
It was unlimited with lower speed (265 Kbps to 1024), but as the subscription fees were also high compared to the average income, families with residence close to each other used to make one subscription for one apartment, then share it between two or more apartments by extending cables from router, where Egypt Telecom company decided to deprecate and make it limited"interesting" -- I never notice anything about data caps in my location other than unlimited. For aprox 35€ per month, I can get only 200 Mbps speed with 1 TB quota.Internet in France is really cheap.
You can get packages between 2 and 8 Gbps for 25€ without TV(with TV, it goes up, depending on what you choose and the provider).
Holy... Life is unfair. I pay about 60 Euros for 600kWhen fiber optic internet arrives at my home

chatGPT is telling me fiber FTTH is MORE stable (and faster) than my Spectrum cable... but fiber never comes (yet) maybe next year...I have cable internet from Ziggo, thats really stable and never any issues, i had Optic Fiber before and a lot of times no internet.
We also have absurd plans like 1Gbps download speeds, 50Mbps upload.I'm quite happy about my download speed of about a gig, unhappy about the upload being a tenth of that, having Synchronous broadband would be an advantageous, several fibre providers do that but at the moment not here, the main providers are BT Openreach or Virgin, I believe Virgin are thinking about Synchronous, but most people just look at the DL speed so there just isn't the will?
