Serious Discussion Privacy vs. Profit: The Impact of Google’s Manifest Version 3 (MV3) Update on Ad Blocker Effectiveness (Research Article)

@Parkinsond

uBol has the best cosmetic rule builder at the moment.

@oldschool

AdGuard Mv3 offers (near) similar functionality as uBO Mv2 advanced mode when you restrict on TLD level only using two rules (two promotors on MT are @TairikuOkami and @Sampei.Nihira of this approach (Tariku using DNS and Sampei using browser extension).

The example below allows some general TLD's and the country codes from 5 Eyes Countries (as often posted by @Jan Willy)
! this shows a block page which you decide to ignore
||*$document,denyallow=com|edu|io|net|org|US|CA|UK|AU|NZ
! this ones blocks third-party scripts and subframes
||*$third-party,script,subdocument,denyallow=com|edu|io|net|org|US|CA|UK|AU|NZ

Whenever you encounter website breakage with AG's TLD block mode, you can use AG's logger to create an exception or simply add that website to the allow list.

Cosmetic rules are not the issue; uBOL provides the same output, even Vivaldi adblocker do (except for very few websites).
The real challenge is YT rapidly evolving adblocker evasion tactics; uBOL get the remedy later than uBO; Vivaldi adblocker get the remedy the latest, sometimes it does not get it at all.

So why not removing the option to insert image, considering uploading thumbnail will do the job?

Does inserting image (not thumbnail) has any use?
