Has anyone having any problems using google search while surfing?
My sister cannot surf the net with Firefox. It just sticks and wont load any pages, yet if she types something in the address bar, it works perfectly.

I checked the Mozilla forum and there a few a people with similar problems.

They say "Google is rolling out some testing and it appears to be VERY broken". http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2626823

I have had some problems using google with Firefox.

I google search and it just freezes, sticks, unresponsive, you name it.
But it doesn't happen all the time just once in awhile.

No, I'm on 7 but it doesn't happen often for me. Just tell her to use a different browser or use Bing.
However since I'm a big Microsoft guy I usually use everything microsoft (minus MSE) So usually I'll use Bing or IE9.

But since she's on XP just tell her to use bing, download chrome, or use IE8 (Which I don't usually recommend since IE8 as some security flaws)

I was over at my sister's yesterday and tried to download Google Crome, but the download was unresponsive. I tried multiple times with no luck.

Come to think of it, now that she is temporary using bing, it should now work. I'll have to give her a buzz later!

I doubt this would Google. It sounds like something to do with Firefox/Chrome not letting Google to work or something. Sounds really weird though.

Have you tried other websites to see if she has issues? The fact the download was unresponsive leads me to think it's a problem with with her connection. Perhaps try downloading Chrome from a different source also.

I have issues with Google, has been going on for last few days. So annoying... I can do a first search, but not a second. Same in IE9 which I never touch.

Her bookmark open ok, its just the google search engine that is playing up!

PS: I cleaned her pc with ccleaner, but nothing out of the ordinary was found.
