This is a joke. McAfee is D tier, even though the new McAfee is one of the leading antiviruses. It's very light while providing excellent protection.
Avast and AVG are C tier, while Norton which is the same at them, other than a different UI, is D tier.
He's used a screenshot of a very old version of Panda and is very critical of the UI, while the current UI is very different.
Webroot is B tier, despite being one of the worst big name antiviruses.
Malwarebytes is S tier? Unless it has improved dramatically recently, I would not class it as S tier, even though it provides good protection.

That's what I thought regarding McAfee, that he was citing the past history of what we thought of McAfee, and not how it's evolved recently to be an excellent AV. Now you've got me curious to review the video again.

I watched the video and I should have listen to the first word he said which is STOP.

The only thing I agree with him is Kaspersky. The rest are questionable.
The video creator is not up to date with AV trends. Kaspersky is so consistent that even if he is out of date with the market trends, it still remains S tier.

I have not used MB for a while, but it is its Web Protection module that shines. @Nightwalker shared the same experience back in time.

This is straightforward not knowing what you're talking about. Leading yourself by online comments and magazines, instead of doing your own research and tests.

To start with, McAfee has proven to be a top-tier solution nowadays.
Also, putting Norton, which is superior to lots of AVs, in the same tier of Comodo AV... really? Avast/AVG in a different tier than Norton, and also on the same tier than Panda? Seriously?

This looks also like a paid video by MalwareBytes lmao.

EDIT: I did my own tierlist, based on my tests.

B or K choose one? ESET at the end of A tier umm might piss guys here.

I said that I agreed with:
  • S Tier = only Kaspersky AND MBAM as a second opinion scanner.
  • A Tier = MD, BD, ESET.
  • Trash Tier = Total AV, etc.
I didn't say anything else about other AVs, tiers, or classifications.
EDIT: I did my own tierlist, based on my tests.
I don't see any differences in your tire list compared to what I mentioned, aside from placing BD in the S Tier.

Definitely Kaspersky, due to Application Control (Intrusion Prevention). That's a game changer, for sure.

As for ESET, I haven't placed them in order, just filtered them on tiers. But last of A isn't necessarily "better" than the first of the same tier.

That's how I took it, as long as it was in that tier, was what mattered, and not the order.
