New Update Re-visit to AVG in 2025

Here are some new alerts i have seen from AVG they also released an update today that improved the phishing protection.

I think Avast/Norton will be the same.
But at least it's clearer in detection name than the “URL:Blacklist” I was seeing

For extra comfort, don't forget to enable hardened mode!

I have not run AVG in a long time, but I ran Norton for a year until about 2 months ago, and that experience was ok, but Avast never ran well for me. So now the 3 are basically the same, what I've been reading.

Cannot call Avast-AVG stable; they have few bugs and glitches, only superseded by B.
The only one I can label as "stable" is K.
Avast-AVG need a more fresh design and some fixes.

Did not use ESET before; only use free stuff.
Some nice friend on MT kindly offered a free license for more than one year, but I did not bother asking for key; K is stable and light; if not K, I would stick to MD.

I had an issue with Eset firewall about 2 years ago, switched to Nod32 (no eset firewal) for awhile, but now running Premium with Eset firewall & LiveGuard, and seems solid, I've been running Eset for many years and has been very good other than that 1 firewall incident (fwiw). Strong protection and light.

Not sure what improvements the new VPN update that just came out was but the VPN has got sooo much faster and improved and it stays connected.

AVG VPN got an update this week and appears they have improved the speeds my speed is only 500 MBPS so i didn't really lose much speed with the vpn on.
