Of course it will not. For one thing, it is extremely difficult, and even beyond our very understanding (we understand as much about the human conscience as we do about topics like dark matter, i.e. we understand almost nothing), and what, we are going to try to replicate it? Utterly impossible.
It can get close. But machines will never be fully self-aware, I'm afraid. The fact that they are programmed means that at least a part of them is dependent on humanity - thus they could never "overpower" us.

Humans using machines to overpower other humans, however, is an entirely different scenario. And it has already happened, in so many ways. And it will keep happening in even more ways.

The "Skynet" thing in this thread is just a joke.

If Skynet reaches the level of intellect and emotions that humans are capable of; there will be three choices, I think:

1. Skynet will try to survive on its own
2. Skynet will try to live with the humans (mutualism)
3. Skynet will try to live by dominating the humans

At the very best after a couple of decades these Skynet, AI tech would reach to a point where AI is capable that of a Monkey or Dog . Its is an open challenge to the entire clueless but optimistic scientist working on this so called AI or Skynet projects that Human will be human An inferior cant give birth to superior

Well, we know very little about how our intelligence works, and it is certainly not easy to imitate and build something that we don't understand perfectly.

In the sense of technology then its not totally impossible, as we all know; everything are bound on telecommunications to collect and provide more information so in such sense the life of an ordinary human will definitely change.

But that should take a lot of time to prove enough.
