A new Linux vulnerability dubbed “RefluXFS” is a race condition in the Linux kernel’s XFS filesystem copy-on-write path that lets an ordinary local user silently overwrite protected system files and seize host root privileges, even on systems running SELinux in Enforcing mode.

Entirely agree; the reason is their small market share, making them a less attractive target than Windows.

For now those offering security products for Linux market their products offering protecrion against spreading Windows malware to other devices.

I believe Android is based on Linux and there is a relative increase in Android malware. I believe we are going to witness an increase in Linux malware soon.
