Reg Organizer is a feature-rich application designed to edit, clean and maintain registry, fix errors in the system, and improve computer performance. The deep registry search feature lets you find all registry keys related to a specific application.

Main Features of Reg Organizer

Uninstall Tool With Search For Leftovers

Using Reg Organizer to uninstall programs and remove its traces will help remove unwanted applications and their traces, thereby preventing littering up the registry and computer disks. This is very useful because not all programs delete their leftover and configuration files in the system registry after removal. This feature is powered by the Full Uninstall™ technology, developed by our experts.

Advanced Startup Manager

Advanced Startup Manager will help you control applications that automatically run with whenever your operating system is started. This would enable you to free up valuable resources for other purposes and in some cases speed up the boot time and operation of your Windows operating system.

Windows Cleanup

With the automatic cleanup feature, you can delete large amount of unnecessary information and free up space on the system disk. It can also enable you to remove unwanted updates, old Windows versions and much more.

System Tweaker

Ability to change many undocumented Windows settings (tweaks). In particular, it can accelerate the work of your system by sending the system a command to increase cache memory size or by unloading unused libraries, etc.

Advanced Registry Editor

Advanced Registry Editor in Reg Organizer allows you to perform various operations with the system registry – you'll be able to export, import, copy key values and do much more. The Registry Editor has much more features than the Registry Editor found in Windows.

Search And Replace In the Registry

Search & Replace in the registry allows you to find the keys related to the application in question and delete them if necessary. This is useful, for example, in the case where an application does not have an uninstall tool and after it has been "manually" deleted, unwanted files remain in the registry, which can affect other applications. At the same time, Reg Organizer makes a deeper search and often allows you to find even those keys associated with this application that can’t be found by other similar programs.

Registry File Editor

The registry file editor is designed to edit keys and parameters, and to add and delete the content of.reg files. It is a very useful tool for transferring program settings from one computer to another. Unlike Windows Registry Editor (regedit), this registry file editor can create modular reg files containing various branches of registry keys.

Registry Files Viewer

Viewing registry files (*.reg) before importing their contents will enable you to examine the data before importing. When you view a reg file that you want to import, its contents are displayed as a tree in Reg Organizer. This allows you to visualize all the keys that will be imported into the registry.

Registry Keys Tracker

Tracking registry keys will help monitor the actions of any program and see all changes made to the registry in detail.

v. 9.60 18/01/2025
  • Applications tool:
    • Visual improvements in the application uninstallation with traces lookup window.
    • Enhancements to the application list under the dark interface theme.
    • Some settings, which were previously located in a separate settings window, have been moved directly into Applications tool, within the buttons with three dots located right on the action buttons. This simplifies access to these options.
    • The list grouping commands for better accessibility have been moved to the dropdown menu by the arrow above the applications list.
  • Startup Applications Tool: When selecting a custom display mode for startup applications (using the Custom button on the top panel), the selected application types are no longer reset when switching to other display modes.
  • The Undo Changes Center window (for restoring backups) has been updated.
  • The interface of the button panel has been improved when working with the registry file.
  • The appearance of the Important Registry Parts tool has been updated.
  • The program no longer uses VBScript scripts due to Microsoft's plans to phase out its use in Windows.
  • Bugs fixed:
    • On some systems, the Security section on the main screen would freeze, causing the entire rest of the program to freeze.
    • Applications tool: Grouping by developer was not saved after restart.

This is the only PC maintenance tool I use. For everything (except backup, of course). Highly recommended.
but curious: for years the "majority opinion" has been that registry cleaners / organizers provide no benefit with potential to be harmful. I have never used Reg Organizer, but wondering if is the useful exception...

Registry is the settings repository of Windows OSes, meddling with it can cause harm, of course, but if a registry cleaner provides the entry and the option to change/delete/keep it, it is safe. Though only if you know what you are doing.
Today reg cleaners are rarely hazardous or bad for that matter.
As far as the Reg Organizer, I do check any change it does, but almost never change a thing. Also it has all the options I often use, including the fast registry editor. Also I place it at the first spot for it's uninstaller capability. RO is a very nice amalgam of tools, well 'organized', and useful :).

Every day I find something new in Reg Organizer and like it more, yesterday when I used it to uninstall Bitdefender, I was confused because some users don't recommend using 3rd party uninstallers with antivirus software because they will remove elements needed to continue the uninstallation process after restarting the system so a complete uninstall will be interrupted.

What Reg Organizer uninstall too did is give me the option to let Bitdefender restart the system after the normal uninstallation process finished and marked it as traced to scan for its leftovers after restart which was amazing, it is the first time I see uninstaller do this.

good to know about its uninstaller capabilities... thanks :)

There are some exceptionally rare cases where cleaning the registry can improve performance, or fix issues. However, for the most part, there's usually no need use a registry cleaner. If your computer is running slowly, or has some issues, then if you get incredibly lucky, a registry cleaner may help.

v. 9.70 18/04/2025
  • Applications tool:
    • Improved trace detection algorithm for applications. Reg Organizer now accurately identifies traces and calculates the disk space occupied by Steam and games installed through it.
    • Added dependency detection for related applications. If a user attempts to uninstall Steam without first removing games installed via the platform, a warning will be displayed. This ensures games do not become inoperable, as they may depend on Steam’s framework (uninstallation must follow a reverse order: games first, then Steam).
    • Fixed duplicate applications in the list that occurred in some сases. For example, when AOMEI Partition Assistant was installed, a redundant entry named AOMEI Partition Assistant_is1, which served no purpose, would be added to the list.
  • Startup Applications tool: Added the Launch context menu command, which allows launching the selected program registered in the startup.
  • When system font scaling is changed between application launches, it now maintains correct window proportions.
  • Bugs fixed:
    • The search field in the Startup Applications tool slightly shifted after the program window was displayed.
    • Applications tool: When uninstalling COMODO Internet Security Pro, the standard uninstaller did not work.

v. 9.80 07/08/2025

  • Applications tool:
    • A Startup items are now added to the traces of applications found in the system. You can immediately see which installed applications are set to launch automatically when the system starts. Applications that launch automatically are marked in the list with a "speedometer" icon.
    • When application traces cannot be moved to the Recycle Bin, the program requests confirmation for permanent deletion.
    • When pressing the F5 key or selecting the command Ellipsis icon -> "Refresh Window data", a deeper refresh is performed compared to previous versions. The number of traces is recalculated for all programs displayed in the window.
  • Startup Applications tool:
    • Startup items are now retrieved faster.
    • The "Show the Startup Entry Location" context menu command for items of type Service and Task Scheduler now works differently. Instead of opening a registry key, it opens the system applet Services/Task Scheduler with a tooltip indicating the name by which the target entry is listed.
  • Bugs fixed:
    • Startup Applications tool: Sometimes text with paths on the bottom panel was truncated, failing to display in full.
    • Startup Applications tool: When selecting the service entry of Reg Organizer itself, named Chemtable Startup Checking, the information about it in the bottom panel was displayed incorrectly.
    • Registry Editor: If after deleting registry entries from the search results you continue to make changes in the Registry Editor unrelated to the search, these actions are added in the Undo Changes Center to the backup entry related to the deletion of search results.
    • If the program was maximized to full screen, after restarting the system and restoring it from the tray, it did not remember this window state.

Reg Organizer 9.85
Oct 1, 2025
  • Applications tool:
    1. When installing applications with tracing, the drivers, services, and other startup entries created by installers are now detected. Upon uninstalling a traced program, these components will be removed from the system (along with other traced items of the program) to ensure complete cleanup.
    2. Improved application tracing. In the previous version, the change log during application tracing could contain duplicate entries. For example, a newly created file might also appear as the same file in a modified state.
    3. Improved grouping of applications installed during a single tracing session. Under certain conditions, Reg Organizer can identify a primary (parent) application and its secondary (child) components. When this identification is successful, the child components are displayed nested within the parent's entry in the list.
    4. More accurate sorting by installation date. Previously, applications installed on the same day could be sorted in a different order than they were actually installed.
    5. Improved removal of applications that register themselves not in just one (as is usual), but in two or more registry sections containing data for installed applications (uninstall keys).
    6. User-created application folders are now sorted alongside standard applications, rather than being pinned to the top or bottom of the list.
    7. After tracing the application installation, the types and quantities of traces created (files, registry entries, startup items) are now shown.
    8. The application traces lookup algorithm has been improved.
    9. Faster applications size calculation on multi-processor systems (when Task Manager shows 9 or more logical processors).
  • Fixed bugs:
    1. Improved detection of SSD drives (previously, detection worked incorrectly for NVMe drives). This affects only the operation of the obsolete registry optimization feature, which is disabled by default.
    2. The list in the Applications tool could contain duplicate items with technical names, such as {B606743A-7044-4BF7-97C7-597927366183}.

I've used this for years, I think the program could be better at removing stubborn reg entries, & the message not all registry items have been removed isn't that helpful - Still a worthwhile program & not a registry cleaner.

Its not just a registry cleaner, as usually known - I'm not a fan of registry cleaners as I feel they do more harm than good, This is useful for editing & searching, it can be used for cleaning but I use it as a registry editor - There are differences.
Edited.

Just use PSTools from Sysinternals

And use this command to take full control over your registry ( be very careful ! )

psexec -i -s c:\windows\regedit.exe

Some time ago I used this program is good but it is not a free program you need to have a key.
I am not currently using it because I don't have a key.
You can get an older version as a giveaway.
