FRST fix affected only Strongvault entries. Try to shutdown your computer normally and then start.

What entries are still there?

Hi. I did a full shutdown and then a hard start. All 27 Strongvault entries in each of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_CLASSES_MACHINE remain as before.

We've been at this for a good while now. How about we hang it up for a night? How do I get back in touch with you to pick up where we left off?

Sure, but please do this export for me and then we will continue tomorrow:

Press the
WindowsKey.png
on your keyboard. Type cmd and right click >> Run as Administrator.

Run commands one by one:

Code:
reg export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Assemblies %userprofile%\Desktop\hklm.reg

Code:
reg export HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Assemblies %userprofile%\Desktop\HCR.reg

Upload both reg files from your desktop here and provide me with a download link:

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

Is everything cleaned after this?

Attached is fixlog.txt.
A restart was not invoked by FRST64.
Strongvault no longer appears in a search of my registry.
I think that this issue while not grave was a stubborn one.
How is this "problem ticket" closed?
