@MRF71, malbky, sahilwaste.

You should enable the "software compatibility with Avast setting" in SBIE to make Avast and SBIE work properly, If you did not, then that's probably the reason why you had troubles using both software's at the same time.

Also, disabling the sandbox in Avast, makes it about 99% certain that it wont conflict with Sandboxie. Do it next time you want to try Sandboxie.

bo I have not combined Avast with sandboxie. I have used it with AVG IS and Avira IS. But good tip.

Sahil go for AVG LinkScanner. IT is the best. Traffic light has just one small issue. Sometimes you wont get the ratings as it fails to connect to their site. IF IE and Firefox are the main browsers you use then choose LinkScanner. If you also use opera choose Trafficlight. Download trafficlight from here http://trafficlight.bitdefender.com/ Dont download from the addon store. When you download from the site I gave you it gets installed for all browsers.

For linkscanner go here http://free.avg.com/us-en/linkscanner

Don't forget you can use the Avast Sandbox, when browsing the Internet. So everything is isolated and doesn't affect your real system.

Google Chrome has improved Phishing and Malware Protection, and I haven't seen real benefits from AVG LinkScanner if you're using Chrome. I *wouldn't rely on AVG LinkScanner.

Remember to keep all software updated to prevent them from being exploited.

Do you have any of these software installed; Java, Flash Player, Adobe Reader?

Avast sandbox is for applications and files...there is no sign of internet browsing...
how can i check if any software is out-of-date..is there any automatic way..coz checking every software manually is not possible for me???
yes i've java, flash player and adobe reader on my machine...why are you asking so??

Sahil use EMET to secure your pc. Check this article http://rationallyparanoid.com/articles/microsoft-emet-2.html

For banking always use Avast SafeZone.

I'm sure others could browse in the Avast Sandbox?

The reason I asked was to so that I could recommend some Update Checking software;

Secunia PSI (specialised for detecting more vulnerable software such as Java, Adobe Reader etc and this new version 3 has no interaction Auto-Update)
http://secunia.com/psi_30_beta_launch/
- Will launch on login, runs in the background.

FileHippo Update Checker (more geared to popular software listed on their website)
http://filehippo.com/updatechecker/
- Will launch on login, program terminates if no updates are found. Can be run on-demand if you don't reboot often.

Since your using Avast IS, just likely right click on the specific browser under on sandbox or check on their configuration.

FileHippo is the best Sahil. AVG's linkscanner for chrome also includes AVG Do Not Track which prevents websites from tracking you.

Use FileHippo it is safe and is the best. Secondly install some firewall. You can either choose Online Armor or Comodo. I would recommend Comodo. And then you are good to go.
