Ok, I did the restart and disk check, it did the same stuff as usual, but as for behavior now, I'll have to wait to see if it pops up the usual warning over the next day or two. I'll update you if it happens, or even if it eventually becomes clear it won't. Do those logs of those warnings help at all? Or should I not bother if another comes up?

Ok, 1 and 2 were a deliberate scan, but the usual way it ever happens is like 3.

Okie dokie. Though be aware that that was only the first time I've gotten a warning about skype, that I can recall; the other warnings usually are about something different, whatever it is, so it's not that easy an answer, unfortunately. That's part of why I was surprised and confused; skype hadn't popped up before.

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.
