FYI: Installing 2 or more AV, will not guarantee 100% either. You're better of using some common sense, or a non-AV alternative like Sandboxing, Limited user rights, or a program that restores your PC to a previous state after use (upon reboot).
Running 2 or more AV will cause compatibility issues or clashes between them, and it's not worth the trouble. Even if configure correctly.
Also you said you've been using ESET for many years, so why the change now. Bit late to say the least, Conficker was ITW many years ago, what's the recent threat to make you change your mind about ESET.
