Homepage: Soft Organizer

Utility to completely uninstall, search & remove traces when uninstalled, as well as check for new versions of programs. Also has a built-in software rating.

Features

1. Very simple and intuitive operation

The simple, convenient, and non-overloaded interface doesn't distract a user from the installing and/or uninstalling process. The Soft Organizer utility looks like a simple list of installed programs, where a user merely needs to select a program and click “Uninstall”. At the same time, the tool features the entire range of capabilities that even programs with much more complex interfaces have. (Most of those programs look like a space shuttle cockpit with many gauges, meters, and obscure instruments.)

2. Has only the functions you really need

Thanks to judicious selection of capabilities, Soft Organizer features only those options you really need in your work. The overall functionality of the program is similar to competitive application removal solutions.

3. Enhanced capabilities for experienced users

Due to the number of enhanced functions in Soft Organizer, experienced users can enjoy more precise control over the process. Such functions keep a low profile and do not distract other users, so installing and uninstalling applications using Soft Organizer remains simple and intuitive.

Soft Organizer 9.55

  • In the notification section (under the bell icon), you can now find news from the official program blog and educational articles.
  • Tooltips, which appear in different parts of the program to help users learn how to use it most effectively, have been improved. A close button and a button to respond to program requests directly within the tooltip have been added.
  • Bug fixed: If you move an application from the "System and Service" folder to the top (root) level, it does not stay there after you restart Soft Organizer.

Soft Organizer 10.0
Dec 30, 2024
  • Enhancements to the application list under the dark interface theme.
  • The Undo Changes Center window (for restoring backups) has been updated.
  • The product no longer uses VBScript scripts due to Microsoft's plans to phase out its use in Windows.
  • Some settings of the Applications tool, which were previously located in a separate settings window, have been moved directly into this tool, within the buttons with three dots located right on the action buttons. This simplifies access to these options.
  • The list grouping commands for better accessibility have been moved to the dropdown menu by the arrow above the applications list.
  • Fixed bug: Grouping by developer was not saved after restart.

v. 10.10 18/04/2025
  • Improved trace detection algorithm for applications. Soft Organizer now accurately identifies traces and calculates the disk space occupied by Steam and games installed through it.
  • Added dependency detection for related applications. If a user attempts to uninstall Steam without first removing games installed via the platform, a warning will be displayed. This ensures games do not become inoperable, as they may depend on Steam’s framework (uninstallation must follow a reverse order: games first, then Steam).
  • Fixed duplicate applications in the list that occurred in some сases. For example, when AOMEI Partition Assistant was installed, a redundant entry named AOMEI Partition Assistant_is1, which served no purpose, would be added to the list.
  • Fixed Bug: When uninstalling COMODO Internet Security Pro, the standard uninstaller did not work.

v. 10.20 07/08/2025

  • Startup items are now added to the traces of applications found in the system. You can immediately see which installed applications are set to launch automatically when the system starts. Applications that launch automatically are marked in the list with a "speedometer" icon.
  • When application traces cannot be moved to the Recycle Bin, the program requests confirmation for permanent deletion.
  • When pressing the F5 key or selecting the command Ellipsis icon -> "Refresh Window data", a deeper refresh is performed compared to previous versions. The number of traces is recalculated for all programs displayed in the window.
  • Bug fixed: If the program was maximized to full screen, after restarting the system and restoring it from the tray, it did not remember this window state.

Soft Organizer 10.30

  • When installing applications with tracing, the drivers, services, and other startup entries created by installers are now detected. Upon uninstalling a traced program, these components will be removed from the system (along with other traced items of the program) to ensure complete cleanup.
  • Improved application tracing. In the previous version, the change log during application tracing could contain duplicate entries. For example, a newly created file might also appear as the same file in a modified state.
  • Improved grouping of applications installed during a single tracing session. Under certain conditions, Soft Organizer can identify a primary (parent) application and its secondary (child) components. When this identification is successful, the child components are displayed nested within the parent's entry in the list.
  • More accurate sorting by installation date. Previously, applications installed on the same day could be sorted in a different order than they were actually installed.
  • Improved removal of applications that register themselves not in just one (as is usual), but in two or more registry sections containing data for installed applications (uninstall keys).
  • User-created application folders are now sorted alongside standard applications, rather than being pinned to the top or bottom of the list.
  • After tracing the application installation, the types and quantities of traces created (files, registry entries, startup items) are now shown.
  • The application traces lookup algorithm has been improved.
  • Faster applications size calculation on multi-processor systems (when Task Manager shows 9 or more logical processors).
  • Bug fixed: the applications list could contain duplicate items with technical names, such as {B606743A-7044-4BF7-97C7-597927366183}.

Soft Organizer 10.35
Mar 3, 2026
  • Refined accuracy of application installation dates.
  • Improved notification behavior when the program is running in the background.
  • Fixed bugs:
    • Fixed an issue when unchecking and re-checking an item in the list filtered to a single entry could cause that item to disappear.
    • If you launch application tracing via the Windows context menu, the tracing may restart when you update Soft Organizer's data.
    • The application was not removed from the list if it was uninstalled using only its standard uninstaller without traces cleanup.
    • When scrolling to the end of the list by clicking the scroll bar arrow, the list becomes empty.

v. 10.40 4/15/26
  • Improved forced applications removal:
    • Soft Organizer now automatically terminates processes and services that block application's uninstallation. This ensures a complete cleanup, even if the applications's built-in uninstaller is corrupted or fails to launch.
    • If certain files remain locked, Soft Organizer will offer to delete them upon the next system reboot. During the final uninstall step, you can review the list of these files and exclude any from the deletion process if needed.
    • Enhanced cleanup of locked registry keys in Windows 11 that cannot be removed by standard methods.
  • Microsoft Office updates and service components are now automatically moved to the "System and Service" section. This makes the main list more compact and easier to navigate.
  • Fixed bug: Programs launched manually from the Startup Applications or Applications tools were assigned an incorrect working directory (defaulting to the Soft Organizer folder). This could sometimes cause the launched application to malfunction.

fyi this looks like a good app / uninstaller / also reg organizer BUT I had a specific question and attempted to join the forum and I "failed" the captcha, I think because ubo “Medium Mode” Dynamic Filtering (DF) was blocking a site-tracker and one of those was yandex.ru -- wondering if this is a Russian company, not that there's necessarily anything wrong about that, but I'm not finding an address for chemtable, so this seems like somewhat hidden info, ie, location, although currency is Euros. I was going to ask in forum if their Full Uninstall tech can fully track and uninstall Msix installed software??

EDIT but I got the catpcha to work without allowing yandex.ru to connect and did post question about MSIX installer... @lokamoka820 you use chemtable software? PS chatGPT confirmed that chemtable is in Russia, and noted their webpages do make this obvious. ChatGPT got info from 3d-party sources.

I've used Reg Organizer now for many years too & never had any issues, on one occasion I contacted the developer & got a fast good response, I do feel that regardless of where a person is on the planet does not matter to me as I really try to be none political - I do totally appreciate that is easier said than do for some members who suffer extreme hardship because of a county or state & we are human after all, but Chemtable has been a good company to me.

Yes, Chemtable is a Russian company. I've been using their Reg Organizer software – which already includes Soft Organizer – as my only maintenance tool for a long time.

Regarding installed MSIX programs, I advise you to uninstall them in the usual way, they often do not leave traces like .exe programs, they are fully managed by the Windows system when installed and removed, and they are all installed in the same hidden and protected folder "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps", so there is a high possibility that they will all be corrupted in case of any error in the deletion process (which happened to me once with the Revo Uninstaller program that damaged all my MSIX packages even the Microsoft Store) because they are all installed in the same folder.

I even asked Chemtable's support about MSIX packages, whether they should be tracked, and how their software removes them, and the answer was as follows:
2. Removal of Windows Store (Appx) apps:
These applications are uninstalled via the system's internal API. This process does not require opening a Command Prompt, Terminal, or PowerShell window; it happens silently in the background.

I do feel that regardless of where a person is on the planet does not matter to me as I really try to be none political -
agree (but in US eg gov't banned Kaspersky) just info to know that was not exactly public info on chemtable website. I'm curious what they about MSIX installer...
