I would suggest:
  1. Enable UAC to at least the default setting
  2. Enable Windows Smartscreen, there's absolutely no reason not to
  3. You should add to your chrome installation some extensions: https everywhere (maybe metadefender or script blocker as well)
  4. You should use some sort of system image backups (at least); Macrium Reflect (free) is an awesome candidate
Thank you for sharing :)

You need to enable UAC & Smartscreen.
You also need to consider some type of system & data backup solution.
Avast? Internet Security?
After the important things are taken care of consider an on demand scanner(s).
Your real tine protection is not an on demand scanner.
Consider adding HTTPS Everywhere & Privacy Badger to chrome.
CCleaner for a system utility.
Thanks for sharing your config :)

Thank's for sharing starter.
Oh yes, turn UAC on ! It's mandatory to know the elevation requests I think.

For Smartscreen, I recommend to turn it "'on" too. With win8, I disabled it, because it was working with MS browsers only, but now that smartcreen is machine wide, I prefer to turn it on.

I've realised that after reading some MalwareTips posts ! ;)

If you do what the others have suggested then you would be safe, but I would like to suggest one or two on demand scanners:Malwarebytes,Zemana or Hitman Pro:)

It seems your setup needs an overhaul changes.

You need to clarify clearly the details like which version of Avast you are using.
