Surfshark now got a "fake news" warning feature Reliant on propornot.com which already in history marked news as Fake which did come out as true.

propornot.com is the source for their warnings which had already news wrongly marked as fake news. in my oppinion this is bloat and a vpn shouldnt have this feature.

I mean they even offer an antivirus now. Antivirus companies that are offering a VPN is pretty common, but a VPN company that offers an antivirus?

Like a lot of modern PUP's, VPN antiviruses just use the Avira SDK.

I don't know what the Surfshark antivirus is worth though, I couldn't find any information about the engine used (I have Surfshark, but not the One version)

According to the SurfShark site yesterday the AV still doesn't have background protection for Windows which for all intents & purposes makes it useless? I gave up on the VPN a while ago as the GU was cluttered & adding more makes it bloatware. For me less is more, simplicity & minimal but needed features are what I look for.

Surfshark had from December to february a bug which logged you randomly out which made the killswitch DEACTIVATE ITSELF and fail that way aka exposing your real IP even with the killswitch fully enabled.
it was fixed in february after 3 months.
and suddenly... Nord VPN got the EXACT same bug conciedence ?
Never had this bug happen on any of my other VPN.

( newest version ) they did something weird on 3.4.2 , 3.4.3 also gets detected but not by so many AV , and 3.4.4 is clean it seems
