Reboot Restore RX from Horizon DataSys. Its freeware by the way.

Hi! I'm speeding way to much time here on the forum! There seems to be a lot of programs that will create a image of your OS.
I'm sure they all have their good points. My advise is find one that works for you and use it regularly. My choice is Macrium Reflect Free!

and where do i put the image last time i used a backup thing i put it on my ssd and i had to reinstall windows and that was that aoemi ##### if backups are gonna make me reinstall windows whats the point

I have used Aomei Backupper for a long time with no problems. It is 100% good software.

well i backed up windows and put the file on my ssd tried torecover it wouldnt let me had to format my ssd and reinstall windows and nobody has answered my qwestionm

If your HDD is a portable device put it there and this is pretty much a bullet proof backup software i have used it many times on lots of machines. Do not know much about SSD.

If I were you, I'd store my backups on a ext. hdd

Oh and in case you are still looking, Rollback Rx home edition is free, and is a good alternative to system restore.
