We are very excited to present you Tails 6.0, the first version of Tails based on Debian 12 (Bookworm) and GNOME 43. Tails 6.0 brings new versions of most of the software included in Tails as well as several important security and usability improvements.
Very fiddly. Only manual upgrade available, so put aside an hour at least.

All versions available for download, not just Linux.

Always good to see Tails being developed further. I guess for that 0.00001% who need that kind of level of security .

Not sure why you need persistent storage on a anonymous distro though, but people obviously want it :cautious:.

Tails 6.4 released
Highlights of Tails 6.4 include the ability to store a random seed on the Tails USB stick to strengthen all cryptography. The devs say that having a secure random number generator is critical for various of Tails’ components that rely on cryptography, such as Persistent Storage, Tor, and HTTPS.
