Advice Request Take care of SSD M.2 on Windows 11?

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.

Hello .. I just installed Windows 11 on my PC with an m.2 I would like to know what configuration I would have to change to take care of the M.2, once I did it with Windows 10 but I don't remember .. Thank you very much !!

No, this is plug-and-play. If it's Samsung specifically,. you can get the Magician software and see if there's any firmware update. Or check your manufacturer.

For my nvm-e I have the latest Samsung controller and the Microsoft driver dating to 2006 (via Device Manager) Works perfectly in both Windows 10 and 11. (y)

You may find this app useful SSD Fresh it sets Windows up for a SSD & Windows should but doesn't always do (usually don't do) - it's free or pay, you get ads with the free but they are about the product. I've put it on a few PC's.

Follow this - SSD Maintenance: Tips to Maintain Performance and Extend the Life of Your SSD - EaseUS
And for additional settings change you could use Tweak SSD from Totalidea. It is an abandoned program but that does not matter since the changes to do is still the same as it has been for years. Use any other program if you are not comfortable with it.. The 2 most important changes in all of this is; never fill your SSD up and, activate Trim.

I forgot to say that.;)
Most SSDs have drive utilities for their products available from the manufacturer. It's not required, but it's useful to have it installed.
