Hot Take Things Are Quietly Changing at Bitwarden, and People Are Worried

It appears from searches that Proton pass clients (including desktop in the free plan), don't let you access a cached vault in an offline mode. Is this true for you❓
I'm not sure if you've seen the update about Proton Pass yet, but it now supports offline mode even in the extension. 😄

Some (!?😵‍💫) of Bitwarden’s licenses appear to be going commercial. Please post any questions you have for Bitwarden in the thread.

From the company:

Starting in the next release, the Bitwarden apps published to the various stores will be the commercially licensed builds. No action is needed, and the apps will work exactly as they do today.
  • Bitwarden remains committed to open source security and transparency
  • The GPLv3 OSS licensed version continues to be updated and published on GitHub
  • All current features are available in both versions
  • License details are on GitHub
  • Bitwarden remains committed to a robust, free forever plan for everyone
P.S. It certainly looks like they may be switching to an available-source model (why bother evaluating or developing under GPLv3 when they can just do the other license?), but only time will tell.
