Yes, but it is still recommended and used by many experts in the forum, and it has a high rating on the web stores.

There were a couple bigger names that asked to be removed from Osprey, I believe Bitdefender was one, I can't remember who the other(s) were.

I thought they did...I just looked over their website and I might be blind (Its been a bad week) but i didn't see a list of their current providers either.

theres a few good ones in there. URLhause, Control D and Cloudflare. Other than that theres nothing in there that really grabs my attention or makes me "want" to use it. no offesne to any developers, i might be stuck on big names, but i would love to see a few back in there.

This malicious linke was blocked only by McAfee webadvisor and Symantec browser protection extension.
Bitdefender trafficlight did not block.

It was detected by Norton safeweb website, but not blocked by Norton safeweb extension.

Also it was not blocked by ControlD native list or hagezi pro full list in Brave shields.

AlphaMountain blocks the Reddit link, and Osprey, using AlphaMountain, also blocks it.

Honestly, with respect for the developer, while I was using Osprey, it was the most effective extension I tried (with AlphaMountain standing up a lot). I think the comments in its own thread pretty much testified to that effect.

I had never heard of AlphaMountain until Osprey Browser Protection.

It is shockingly good, the best all-round and is really carrying Osprey Browser Protection, in my opinion.

When testing random links from bootleg websites, spam emails, et cetera.

I am glad that Foulest included and kept it, and that they have allowed Foulest to use it so far.

Try throwing some links at their ThreatYeti online URL scanner website sometimes to see for yourself: alphaMountain threatYeti

It is now the first online URL scanner that I test links at and I use its industry tab on there to see how various others rate those websites.

AlphaMountain is a good one too, it is not well known, but it is in Osprey Browser Protection.

If you are extra paranoid / want to make it more aggressive you can even enable the option for AlphaMountain to block suspicious domains in Osprey Browser Protection.

I would like to clarify my side, I in no means meant to offend i was a little calous in my comments. It's just in my mind at my age its got a bit of the "consumerism" viewpoint I.E i was looking for big names. I have seen things like this before where its not the name power that matters.

I think that is reasonable to look for well-known and tried and true options.

Yep, I noticed that after the move to the newer versions, I noticed it by accident.

I think that those options should not be hidden by default.
