Microsoft Defender Update Fail.

What have you tried?

Reboot.

Hi, People, I really have a problem now, my Microsoft Update is failing, when I try to update Microsoft Defender I get this Error0x80070643),tried to reboot but same thing happens.
Please Help.

After that when you try again, it should be resolved.
EDIT: you tried a reboot already, what happens if you try updating through Microsoft Defender itself?

HI, Champ type this in the search bar cmd run it as admin when open type this in it: ( sfc /scannow ) Don't include brackets. When it is completed it will tell you if it has found corruption and it will repair it automatically all required of you is to reboot if corruption is found. when finish check back in and let me know.

Hi @Gandalf_The_Grey and thank you so much for responding, when I look at Microsoft Defender it says it is updated 10 minutes ago, I do not understand?

Have you tried to manually download Defender updates - Latest security intelligence updates for Microsoft Defender Antivirus and other Microsoft antimalware - Microsoft Security Intelligence

Select the appropriate package for your OS - 32/64 bit, download and run what should be an .exe file to update Defender.
