Two days ago, after downloading a certain file, I scanned it with Ad-Aware (free version), and when the scan came out okay, I executed it.
After execution, Ad-Aware Active-Protect awoke and let me know of a malicous program running amok. Parallel, my default browser (Chrome) started showing malware symptoms. They are listed above.
Notice, this all happened to while on vacation, with the most primitive internet connection alive, so removing the malware proved extra-difficult for that reason. Also, this makes effectively making a backup for my important files rather impossible as I have no external storage available here. Additionally, I am stressed out in deadlines for work and study. So this is one (or several) successfully annoying piece of malware.
After becoming aware of the issues, I began trying to solve them. After following the states mentioned in the relevant space, I am now only left with the Yahoo-related problems. I'm guessing the search engine is doing so badly they have to physically force people to use it?
Anyway, I'm in quite a jam here with it, as I'm affraid of working parallel to dealing with the Malware, as I fear some phishing action might take place, so I stay out of my E-mail and such.
Any help would be very much appreciated. I'm attaching here the ADWCLeaner scan-log. I read other guidelines but from all the scanning programs and heavy-duty apps I got a bit mixed up. Please let me know what else to attach and run that might help identify and end this annoyance.
Thanks a bunch!
