Solved Virtual Box - Shutdown Problem

Hello Everyone,
Today i Installed Virtual Box again & From today only whenever i shutdown my pc my CPU forever emits light, Now i have uninstalled VirtualBox now my PC is working fine. But i am in need to use Virtual Box.

Is there anyway i can get rid of this Problem.

Did you check to see if VirtualBox was completed closed, before shutting down your PC? Check for lingering processes, or any background services.

What OS are you running?

Can you provide more information:
- What version of Vbox?
- Do you have the Guest Additions installed?
- Are there any background services by VirtualBox?
- Are there any start-up process by VirtualBox?

- What security software do you have installed?

Using Windows 8.1 RTM single language (English, activated with serial provided with PC) and Virtualbox 4.2.16 with
bridge networking component installed results in shutdown and sleep problems. The display becomes dim and HDD spins
down (on notebook) but the power led is on and coolers continue to work. Changing drivers for network cards, video,
motherboard, etc doesn't help. Reinstalling Virtualbox with bridge networking switched off (NAT is on) helps to
completely resolve the issue. Devices used: HP envy 4 touchsmart, Acer iconia tab w700.

Very Very Thanks But how to perform the task given above please help me how to perform this.
& by disabling what feature will be affected.

if you have a virtual machine installed in Virtualbox

open Virtualbox look for network from the list under general,system,desplay,storage,audio then network
it should say adapter 1:PCnet-Fast III (NAT) if it says adapter 1:PCnet-Fast III (Bridged Adapter) you
need to change it to NAT

or click on settings for the virtual machine installed in Virtualbox then click on Network now make sure
the Attached to: part says NAT and not Bridged Adapter

but i beleve the defalt setting is NAT though

Yes, NAT is default. But still the problem occurs.

When installing VirtualBox, did you install the Bridge Network?

If you can change install, deselect Bridged Network to remove it.

everyone says that using Bridged networking is not safe for Malware testing so if you plan to test you would
not want to use it anyhow and if not installing Bridged networking do's not fix your slow shutdown problem you
can reinstall to get Bridged networking back

This is for more advanced networking needs such as network simulations and running servers in a guest.
When enabled, VirtualBox connects to one of your installed network cards and exchanges network packets directly,
circumventing your host operating system's network stack.

have you considered using VMPlayer to see if it would work for your needs
