    Workstation Player now offers a virtual Trusted Platform Module (version 2.0) device to support Windows 11 and other operating systems that require a TPM.
  • Support for Encryption
    You can now encrypt a virtual machine to secure it from unauthorized use in Workstation Player.
  • New Full or Fast Encryption features
    You can now choose between security (Full) and performance (Fast) options for encyption.
  • Improved Graphics Support: OpenGL 4.3
    Workstation Player now supports OpenGL 4.3 for the virtual machines.
  • Support for WDDM 1.2
    Workstation Player now supports WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model) version 1.2 for the virtual machines.

Resolved Issues​

  • For the Fedora 64-bit guest operating system, you cannot specify the firmware
    When you try to create a virtual machine with Fedora 64-bit guest operating system, you do not get the option to choose between UEFI and BIOS firmware in the New Virtual Machine Wizard.
    This issue is resolved.
  • USBarbitrator64.exe on the Host is crashing while searching Bluetooth devices inside the guest virtual machine
    When you try to add a Bluetooth device to a virtual machine, USBArbitrator.exe on the Host crashes, and the Bluetooth device fails to connect to the virtual machine.
    This issue is resolved.
  • Cannot open multiple virtual machines at the same time
    If more than one virtual machine runs and shares a common VM directory, you cannot open more than one such virtual machine at the same time.
    This issue is resolved.
  • Unclear images appear on the Microsoft Edge browser
    On a virtual machine with Windows guest operating system, unclear images appear on the Microsoft Edge browser.
    This issue is resolved.

wondering... I currently have workstation pro 16.2.n (paid), is there an upgrade to pro 17 & will I have to pay. I will look into that this weekend and report back.
